And here I was thinking twilight band aids were extreme merchandise!!! But I guess it makes sense. The books promote some form of commitment before sex, so merchandisers promote safe sex!!!

"Stephenie Meyer might have already released her Twilight finale, but that doesn't mean fans of the franchise will have to let go of the series just yet. Little, Brown will be publishing several books this fall that are tied in with the franchise. Along with movie tie-in literature for this year's New Moon adaptation, the publisher will also release a limited special edition of Breaking Dawn, as well as journals that feature cover art for all four books.

According to a press release from the publisher, the Breaking Dawn Special Edition, on stands Aug. 4, will include a DVD of the Breaking Dawn concert series and interviews with Meyer. Those who pick up the hardcover book can also expect a poster and reproduction of handwritten lyrics for “My Never,” by Blue October’s Justin Furstenfeld. The Twilight Journals (pictured), out Oct. 13, are packaged in a tin and include “decorative quotes” from each book. For those hoping to buy books tied into New Moon, Little, Brown will release New Moon: The Complete Illustrated Movie Companion on Oct. 6 and New Moon trade and mass-market paperback tie-ins in September and November, respectively. They will also publish a New Moon Collector’s Edition on Oct. 6."

Unicorn sighting!

I SAW A UNICORN!!!!

No I'm not crazy, I actually saw one today! Not the horse with the horn kinda unicorn

"neigh.."

but the man unicorn. If you dont know what the hell a unicorn is go here and it explains what one is (And how to make one!), but basically its a guy who is seen in public reading one of the twilight books.

And today after school I had the great pleasure of seeing one. And Woah what a good unicorn I saw!

This young man would have been about 17 years old (Edward Cullen...) In his school uniform. And he was crossing the street with a huge mob of boys. Was he talking to his 'mates'? Nope was he listening to music? Negative! Was he staring off into space like most of the other boys? No! The man was reading BREAKING DAWN!!!! Yes breaking friggin dawn! And he was reading about the last chapter too. Now I find the fact he was reading the book amazing. And the fact he was reading the book in public even more amazing. But he was also reading the book while walking down the street, now I dont know about you guys but I think you only do somthing like that if it is a really good book that you cant put down. So that blew my mind! Im still buzzed about it!

Ahhh unicorns... Make my day I tell you!

New Moon song??

OK guys I just got the email:

"My name is Josh Ryan, and I am in a band called Secrets in Stereo. I am writing you today to let you know about something, I think, is really cool that's happening (and building buzz everyday) between myself and Twilight fans around the world. I think it's something you might be interested in, and would be ecstatic if you deem it worthy to make note of in your blog.

Long story short... I am teaming up with Twilight fans everywhere to create a song to pitch to New Moon. My goal is for it to be the perfect fan's song. I think that's pretty cool, don't you? And, I assure you I'm not some amateur artist. I take what I do very seriously, and do it at a high level. I've had songs in Grey's Anatomy, The Hills, The Real World, etc. And, I have a few ways of getting this song to the right people.

There is a back story to how Secrets in Stereo and Twilight connected. It's pretty cool...

My song, “Again,” was randomly used in a Youtube video about Twilight. (you can view it at... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8zi43msWAg). And, it got an amazing response (over 800,000 views as of today). The song just connected. It said everything Twihards wanted to hear. Gave me chills, to be honest. Part of that response, was Twilight fans asking me to write a song for the next installment of the story, New Moon. After much thought (and after “experts” telling me it’s not worth it), I decided to put it back in the Twilight fans’ hands.

I made a video describing the journey. The response for it has been just as overwhelming. Check it out...

And I just checked the song out and its awesome! Its so twilightly, I love it! Im sure he will be able to whip out another great song for New Moon.
