Twilight breakout stars

The Daily Beast has just posted a list of stars that they think will breakout in 2009. Both Cam Gigandet and Taylor Lautner are included on the list.

Cam GigandetSome teen-TV fans may remember Cam as the guest character on The O.C. responsible for killing off Mischa Barton, but he’s going to be known for much more than Marissa-cide after this year. Cam has a whopping seven movies in production for 2009—and those are just the ones that have been officially announced. After his breakout role as a pale vampire in last fall’s Twilight, Cam will appear in Pandorum (a thriller about a spaceship with Dennis Quaid), Five Star Day (a coming of age story with Jena Malone), and Kid Cannabis (the true story of a 19-year-old millionaire pot dealer), among others.

Taylor LautnerAfter originating the role of Jacob Black in the original crazy successful teen-vampires-stare-and-brood Twilight, there was talk Taylor Lautner wouldn’t be cast in the sequel. Fortunately, the director was convinced and Lautner is bulking up to play the older role in the follow-up New Moon, which will be rushed into theaters this November. Robert Pattinson, watch your back. Teen girls, get your screaming pipes ready.

Stand-up Twilight pictures!

Forbidden Planet UK have created one of the greatest things to come out of the whole twilight craze... Cardboard movie stand-ups! They have Edward, Bella, Laurent, James and Victoria, on the website, which is cool but I really wish they had some other sexy men. I would really like a Jasper cut-out or a Dr Cullen one. Fingers cross they get some later then! If you want to pre-order one of the stand-ups now they are £27.99 each. So the actual stand-up is about $40 NZ and then for postage to New Zealand will be quite a large sum bringing the total cost up to a rather large amount, Im thinking in the 70s... Thats quite a lot but if that's what you really want I say go for it!

Taylor's is on the cover of the Dec/Jan issue of Elite Magazine and he also has a interview, in which he talks about what else but TWILIGHT!

“I am definitely a lot like Jacob’s human side, we are both outgoing and friendly. However, I am very different from his werewolf side, which is very fierce. It’s fun to play a character that’s a lot like you, but it’s challenging to play a character that is at the same time quite different than you are.”

In the interview Taylor admits that his favorite book of the series is “Eclipse”, because it’s where the love triangle comes into play.

Taylor also says that if he could play any other character it would be James so he could kill Edward, and then Jacob could end up with Bella. But after a moment Taylor just laughed and said that he would just be Edward.
