Hunt for the Clearwaters!

"Casting for the third Twilight movie has begun.

We got our hands on a casting notice for at least three characters in Eclipse.

Find out just what director David Slade is looking for. However, we must warn you that there are a few spoilers…

Riley "is a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria," the notice reads. He's in his early to mid 20s and "plays an integral role in Victoria's attempt to murder Bella Swan."

There are two more members of the Quileute tribe and La Push wolf pack in Eclipse. Like New Moon, they are looking for Native American or First Nations actors to fill the roles.

"Seth Clearwater is a "tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin," the notice reads. "Seth idolizes Jacob.

"Seth's big sister is 19-year-old Leah Clearwater and the only female member of La Push: "She is tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues.""

I dont care who plays him, I have dibs on Seth!!! :P This is exciting news though, already finding actors for the next film. its all going so fast!

VANESSA'S NOT LEAH!!!!!!!

Few! I just found a extremely happy and exciting piece of news!

We have all heard of the rumor that Vanessa Hudgens has auditioned for the role of Leah Clearwater right? Well it turns out that the whole rumor started on a Vanessa Hudgens forum site and it was never officially published because it was started before there was a confirmed director which would of made it awfully hard to audition for. And unless Melissa Rosenberg’s (the script writer) version of New Moon is way different than the book, Leah doesn’t show up until Eclipse (Yes there is the party at Billy’s, but it’s a very small part of the book and will probably be deemed unnecessary for the movie.).

And then when the official cast list were posted the rumour mill started to work over time in seeing that there was no Leah Clearwater on the list for open calls. Just reinforcing this Leah rumour even more!

This then lead to Ashley Greene being asked what she thought of Vanessa playing Leah. Now this isn't the direct quote but basically she said that she has never met Vanessa, but thinks she’s great, and she could be good at the part. But in the same interview she also said that she hasn’t read the New Moon script yet. then at the Golden Globes the other night Ashley was also asked that same question again and she replied with "She great!" So of course everyone just assumed that that was her confirming her earlier statement and that Vanessa did audition for the part and now the rumour has really taken off.

So 'Just Jared' (a twilight inside informer) decided to do the smart thing and called up and asked Vanessa’s management about it. According to Vanessa’s representative, "I don’t know anything about the audition. As far as I know, it’s just a rumor." I was sadly one of the people sucked into this rumour and for that I apologize.

But at least, for now, we are now safe! No Vanessa as Leah. But now this brings up another question: Was the rumor that Brenda Song also auditioned for the role of Leah just that, a rumour?

Vanessa Hudgens or Brenda Song as Leah?!?

"The web is abuzz that the coveted role of Leah Clearwater, the female werewolf in New Moon, may be going to either Vanessa Hudgens or Brenda Song. Both are 20 year old Disney alumni with singing/acting careers. Here are the positives for each actress as we see them:

Vanessa Hudgens:

Native American Heritage
As a singer, could contribute to New Moon soundtrack
Given High School Musical role, there could be Werewolf Dancing !! (kidding…)

Brenda Song:

Black Belt Taekwondo ability, does some of her own stunts
Strong reviews for Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior, in which she was the star
Did we mention freaking Taekwondo!? "

As much as I hate to admit it, Vanessa looks more the role...Brenda song is just a tad too Asian to play a native American don't you think?

I'd prefer someone a little more low profile than Vanessa though for some reason, she's pretty enough, but is Leah meant to be pretty? I know shes meant to be 'not bad on the eyes' but Vanessa is still way to high profile for me, plus I dont think she could pull of the 'pissed off Leah' attitude.

I really hope it's a just a rumour though...I'd rather have someone a little more neutral and new to the 'Hollywood' scene when it comes to the actors in the twilight films.
