Stephenie Meyer day!

Here’s early notice–Stephenie Meyer Day 2009 is happening September 12-13, 2009, in Forks, WA!! While this year’s event is still in the organizational stages, based on the overwhelming response last year, we want everyone (including folks in, um, Arizona . . . ) to have a chance to make plans to be here on Bella’s Birthday to celebrate with us. Now is the time to make lodging reservations in Forks or LaPush for this weekend–the entire area was booked solid last year. Many fans arrived before the weekend and/or stayed a day or two afterward, to have more time to fully enjoy everything the area has to offer.

The school

How awesome would it to have been your school that was 'cast' as Forks high school in twilight!?

well the lucky school who got the privilege of saying that their school was 'Forks high school' (Kalama High School) might not have the twilight crew back to film at there school again. This is according to an article written on thedailynews.com

Several producers and director Chris Weitz ­— who didn’t direct the original “Twilight” — visited the school last week, said Kalama Superintendent Jim Sutton. The sequel is called “New Moon,” the title of the second of four novels in the popular series by author Stephenie Meyer.

“The whole point of the trip was to show Chris Weitz all the locations they used up here in the Northwest,” Sutton said.

The visit was short, and moviemakers didn’t commit to filming at the school again, Sutton said. It’s possible they shot enough footage during the filming of “Twilight” last spring to supply the sequel, he noted.

If additional footage is requested, “they would need to start shooting at the end of March or early April,” Sutton said.

A crazy strikes!!

I know I'm a huge twilight fan verging on Crazy and there are quite a few crazy twilight fans out there, but there is one extremely crazy fan out there who was lucky enough to go to the 'forks' shown in the movie, and was aloud to see all the places where twilight was filmed. But sadly that wasn't enough for them, they wanted to take a 'souvenir' of there trip to 'forks'. And what do you take when you have the choice? Well this crazy fan saw Bella's red pickup truck and had a brilliant idea, to take the gas cap. Yes you read that right, one crazy fan took the gas cap off Bella's truck.







The owners of the truck aren't really worried, but they say they would like it back. So if you see a crazy person running through town holding onto a gas cap like its the holy grail please tell the owners, you can email them at paige.dickerson@peninsuladailynews.com

Icons, and good ones at that!

That last one is such a good question! I ask myself it all the time but sadly it hasn't :(

Cullen house

The newest buzz on the Twilight scene is the Cullen house.

Although many die-hard Twilight fans were some what disappointed with the Cullen house in the film. In the book it was described like this "From the outside, there is a lawn or meadow, with six primordial cedars that shaded an entire acre with their vast sweep of branches that ensure that shade stretches right up to the house.
The house itself is painted a soft, faded white, three stories tall, rectangular and well proportioned and it has a deep porch that wrapped around the first story. Bella estimates it at around a hundred years old and describes it as “timeless, graceful. The river can be heard close by." So this modern house was a bit of a shock to most pre-movie twilight fans. But once you got over the fact that it was quite different from how it was described in the book you cant help but feel amazed by the beauty of the movie Cullen home.

Some people really got into this twilight house craze and have even learn what exactly was in Edwards room so they can ma bey copy the style of it (with a bed of course, unless they are a real vampire...) Edward bedroom is more know to fan girls to have hundreds (possibly thousands) of Cd's and music records, but the real crazy fans would be able to tell you that the room includes a white Barcelona couch, a grey toned, shaggy rug, a Platner table, in chrome and glass is to the side, a flat screen TV, a walnut Eames DCM (desk chair) And for Edwards many books he has some White free-floating bookshelves and a Sapien bookshelf (As pictured below)
